“Take free. Leave free. Live free!”
Welcome to Kostnix, our very own “non-commercial store” right here in Lappis! We are a free store, where people are free to take whatever they like or may find useful, and free to leave for others any items that they no longer need — no money involved. We accept all sorts of things, including clothes (except used underwear), furniture (except beds and mattresses), books, electronics, CDs & DVDs, kitchenware, toys & games, decorations and accessories, food items, plants, and other random stuff. We also keep some tools that you can loan for a week.
Since its inception in 2011, Kostnix has been a regular hangout for many Lappis-dwellers, bringing cheer to their Monday evenings. It’s more than a store — it’s an idea — a small, but worthwhile attempt to make a positive difference to the world around us, and to try and reduce unnecessary material consumption. It is a volunteer-driven effort, which relies entirely on the goodwill of our team of volunteers and patrons. Together, we carry out our “underground resistance to consumption”! So come visit Kostnix. You never know who you’ll meet and what you’ll find! It contributes to a less wasteful and more responsible society, is good for the environment, and good for your pocket!
We are located in the basement of Professorsslingan 39, and are open every Monday 20:00–22:00.
NEW! We have now also started a sewing club for those who are interested in fixing and creating their own clothes. We have two machines at your disposal and a helpful teacher! Wednesdays, 20:00–22:00.
If you have any further questions, or wish to volunteer at Kostnix, feel free to contact us!
